Volunteers   Print

Cedar Community’s volunteers are truly ‘the wind beneath our wings.’ More than 400 people strong, comprised of men, women, church groups, school groups and others age 13 and up find a variety of ways to share their time and talents with the people served at Cedar Community. Our volunteers give selflessly to touch others’ lives in countless ways:

  • Ministry programs, including Abider’s for the dying, Stephen’s Ministry for those facing life’s challenges, and Cedar’s Chaplains, visiting and nurturing the spirit of so many residents one-on-one.

  • Pontoon, ‘bug’ passenger vehicle and van drivers for outings

  • Theme party, cookout, birthday and happy hour helpers

  • Assisting annual programs such as the Fisheree, Benefit Gala, Spring Festival, Family Christmas Party, Memorial Service and more

  • Ye Olde School and Heritage House museum docents and storytellers
  • Hair salon, country store and resale shop assistants, cashiers
