- Cedar Valley Center requires some equine assistance! Funds are needed to cover feed and other expenses for our two ‘retired’ Thoroughbreds, Frito and Fancy. Volunteers to help take care of them also are welcome! Please contact Cedar Valley, 262.629.9202 or skolb@cedarcommunity.org.
- An authentic 1917 schoolhouse, Ye Olde School hosts youth for a day of dip pens, slates, schoolmarms and connected desks. Enthusiastic adult volunteers lead discussions of their experiences as pupils or teachers, comparing 'old-fashioned' values with today's changing society. More than 3,000 students visit each year. The children use a workbook throughout the day and take it home to their parents. Sponsor will be noted on each workbook. Printing revised workbooks: $3,000.
- Annual Gala, Saturday, Nov. 3, 2012. Hundreds attend to enjoy dinner, dancing, live music, silent auction and more. We are beginning to request donations for the silent auction.
