WestBend – Cedar Community’s annual spring plant sale will be from May 10 – 31 at the Cedar Lake Health and Rehabilitation Center, 5595 County Road Z, West Bend, in the lobby. New plants will arrive weekly. Select from a variety of bedding plants, perennials, patio gardens and hanging baskets. Pre-orders will be taken April 15 – May 5. Orders can be picked up on May 10 or 24. Order forms are available at the Cedar Lake Health and Rehabilitation Center customer relations desk or by calling 262.306.4218 to request a form. Cash, checks and credit cards are accepted.  Cash and carry plants will also be available. All net proceeds from the sale go toward Staff Helping All Residents and Employees (SHARE), an employee committee of Cedar Community.

WestBend – Join us for Evenings of Poetry on Fridays, March 23 (Renewal) and July 27 (Healing) from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at Cedar Valley Center and Spa, 5349 County Road D inWest Bend. Read aloud or simply take in the beauty of the spoken word. Everyone is welcome to bring several poems to read aloud, either their own or their favorite poets’. Although each evening is themed, poems of all topics are welcome.

Readings will be hosted by fellow poetry lover, Dr. Wendy Weaver. She is a member of the national Conference on Christianity and Literature, Mound Mary College Teaching Excellence Award recipient and chair of the English department at Mount Mary College.

Refreshments will be available. There is no admission for the evening, but pre-registration is appreciated.
