Cedar Valley Center and Spa Hosts Introduction to Drawing

WestBend– On Saturday, Jan. 14CedarValleyCenterand Spa,5349 County RoadD inWest Bend, hosts Introduction to Drawing. The class takes place from9 a.m.to4 p.m.The cost for the class is $40 which includes lunch and all supplies.

In this first session in a series of two, gain the basic knowledge and hands on experience of drawing! J. Michael Tucci will teach you to draw basic structures, how to measure and learn perspective and shading techniques.

Cedar Valley Center and Spa Hosts Advanced Papermaking Class

WestBend– Join us atCedarValleyCenterand Spa,5349 County RoadD inWest Bend, on Saturday, Jan. 7 from9:30 a.m.to12:30 p.m.for Advanced Papermaking with local paper artist Greg Grummer. The cost for the class is $25 which includes all supplies plus a casting mold and 12”x12” cotton linter sheet to take home and continue your own papermaking.  

Learn advanced techniques for making your own beautiful handmade paper and greeting cards. You will also learn deckle division, embossing, how to make mottled and translucent paper and more!

Grummer has been making paper for Arnold Grummer’s since 1985. He has taught papermaking in schools and art stores, and sells his own handmade greeting cards.

Cedar Ridge Apartments Hosts Annual Art Show

West Bend– Join Cedar Community on Sunday, Nov. 20, from 3 to 5 p.m. for Cedar Ridge’s Annual Art Show unveiling. The art exhibit is on display at Cedar Ridge Apartments,113 Cedar Ridge Drive inWestBend, from Sunday, Nov. 20 throughMonday, Jan. 2, 2012. The public is invited on Sunday, Nov. 20 to kick off this free exhibition with an open house featuring music, tours and refreshments. The Cedar Ridge Woodwork Shop and Cedar Ridge Crafters also will be holding a holiday craft fair.
