Cedar Community CEO Announces Retirement Plans

The Cedar Community Board of Directors announced today that Lynn W. Olson has shared his anticipated retirement as Chief Executive Officer, to be effective June 30, 2021. Since joining Cedar Community in 2016, Lynn has played a critical role in the quality, growth, and success of the organization. “Lynn brought a strong, fresh perspective to Cedar Community, along with his personal and professional commitment and dedication to our mission,” says Joe Carlson, Cedar Community Board President. “As we continue to meet the challenges we face during this global pandemic, we will continue our strong forward momentum, and the continued growth of Cedar Community under Lynn’s leadership, as we begin a search for his successor.”

As part of the transition planning, the board has formed a search committee to help identify and select Cedar Community’s next CEO. The board has engaged the highly respected executive search firm WittKieffer to conduct a national search for the next Chief Executive Officer for Cedar Community. The board-designated search committee will work to gather input from various Cedar Community stakeholders to help the firm develop a profile for the search, which will begin immediately.

“Please join me in thanking Lynn for his years of service to Cedar Community, as we continue to guide, support, and pray for the health and safety of all Cedar Community residents and team members during this unprecedented time,” says Carlson. “We ask that you also pray for the board as it moves forward with the important work of selecting the next CEO to guide the mission of Cedar Community.”
