Celebrating Martin Luther King, Jr.
Cedar Community will once again host a celebration of the life and witness of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. This year the event will be a virtual celebration with a series of broadcasts and social media posts honoring the legacy of Dr. King and continue the important work of advancing civil rights, eradicating inequalities and prejudices, and building healthy communities. Be sure to visit our Facebook page and YouTube the week of January 17 for further education and engagement opportunities.
Every Step with Cedar Community Seminars: Leaving Your Legacy – Postponed
Cedar Community’s seminar series on planning for your financial and family legacy will be postponed for the public for the fall of 2020, and early 2021.
We hope to bring you the Leaving Your Legacy series again in the fall of 2021, when Elaine Shanebrook, retired attorney, presents a special six-part Every Step with Cedar Community series on estate planning. This educational series will help you understand your options for estate planning, while also considering your values, your family, and the legacy you would like to create for future generations. All of the sessions will have a short presentation, and allow for group discussion and questions. None of the seminars will be a solicitation for financial gifts, nor will they offer legal or tax advice. They are informational and educational only.
Check back here for more information on the future dates in 2021 for the return of these educational seminars.
