Cedar Community has been recognized nationally by U.S. News & World Report as a 2026 Best Senior Living Community, earning distinctions across multiple living and care options.
Cedar Community was named a Best Continuing Care Retirement Community and is one of only two communities in Wisconsin to receive the honor. Cedar also earned recognition for Best Independent Living, Best Assisted Living, and Best Memory Care, adding to its existing recognition for Best Skilled Nursing Short-Term Rehabilitation.

How U.S. News Determines Best Senior Living Communities
For its 2026 Best Senior Living ratings, U.S. News & World Report analyzed more than 540,000 survey responses from residents and family members across more than 3,000 senior living communities.
Residents and family members were asked about their satisfaction with different aspects of community life, including:
- Safety
- Quality of care
- Activities and enrichment
- Management and staff
Communities also had to meet eligibility requirements related to survey completion and participation.
U.S. News analyzed the survey data and applied weightings and adjustments to determine final scores. Only communities receiving the highest scores in each category were recognized as Best Senior Living communities.
