Chris Zwygart

Board Member, Cedar Community Board of Directors

Chris Zwygart brings eight years of service to Cedar Community’s Board of Directors, along with deep experience in law, finance, risk management, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and strategic planning.

Chris is senior vice president, chief legal officer, and secretary of West Bend Insurance Company. In his role, he leads the organization’s legal, regulatory, compliance, and corporate governance functions and serves as corporate secretary to the board of directors. He has spent more than three decades with West Bend Insurance and has held several executive leadership roles, including vice president of finance, vice president of legal and corporate compliance, and chief risk officer.

Chris is a certified public accountant in Wisconsin and Illinois, an attorney at law in Wisconsin, and a chartered property casualty underwriter. His board and volunteer experience includes service with Cedar Community, Cedar Lakes Conservation Foundation, Froedtert ThedaCare Health System, and Network Health, Inc.

He has also been recognized with the Betty Pearson Community Leadership Award from the West Bend Area Chamber of Commerce and the Top Corporate Counsel–Community Champion Award from the Milwaukee Business Journal.

Through his background in governance, financial oversight, legal and regulatory compliance, enterprise risk management, and strategic planning, Chris brings a stewardship-focused perspective to Cedar Community’s long-term mission. His board service supports Cedar Community’s ability to navigate complex challenges while remaining focused on residents, families, team members, and the organization’s future sustainability.
