Jen Kain

Vice President of Assisted Living, Cedar Community

Jen Kain serves as vice president of assisted living at Cedar Community, where she oversees operations for all assisted living campuses, including memory care, as well as Cedar Community’s team of life enrichment professionals.

Jen has served Cedar Community for 13 years. She began her career with the organization in 2013 as a nursing scheduler, supporting staffing for skilled nursing and assisted living. She transitioned to human resources in 2014 and then to memory care in 2016. In 2017, she became administrator of Cedar Community’s 66-bed memory care facility. She later became director of assisted living in 2021 and vice president of assisted living in 2023.

In her current role, Jen supports multiple assisted living and memory care campuses, including operational stabilization and culture transfer following Cedar Community’s acquisition of two properties. Her leadership reflects hands-on experience across staffing, human resources, memory care administration, assisted living operations, and life enrichment.

Jen holds a Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Administration, a Master of Human Resources and Labor Relations, and a certificate in Professional Aging Services Risk Management. She is also a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and serves as a mentor through ACHE.

Jen was drawn to Cedar Community early in her career for the opportunity to learn and grow. What she found was a purpose-driven career in senior living, built around relationships with residents, team members, and Cedar Community’s mission.
