Ross Anderson

Cedar Community Board of Directors

Ross Anderson serves as a board member for Cedar Community, bringing a strong background in law, governance, community leadership, and conservation.

Ross is a retired attorney who practiced commercial trial law at Husch Blackwell LLP, formerly Whyte Hirschboeck Dudek SC, in Milwaukee from 1978 to 2022. His legal practice focused on professional malpractice, securities, tax, and real estate litigation. In 2014, he was named a Leader in the Law by the Wisconsin Law Journal.

Ross earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Carthage College and a Juris Doctor degree from Marquette University Law School. He also earned a Wisconsin Master Naturalist certification through University of Wisconsin Extension.

His board experience includes service with the West Bend School Board, West Bend United Soccer Club, Carthage College board of trustees, Cedar Lakes Conservation Foundation, Whyte Hirschboeck Dudek, and Big Cedar Lake Property Owners Association. He also volunteers with Cedar Lakes Conservation Foundation, Riveredge Nature Center, and the Museum of Wisconsin Art.

Ross and his wife have lived near Cedar Community’s main Cedar Lake Campus for more than 50 years. Through that long-standing connection, combined with his legal and board leadership experience, he brings valuable perspective to Cedar Community’s mission and long-term planning.
