Julie Rosbeck’s journey with Cedar Community began in 2008 as a dietetic technician intern. During her internship, she gained hands-on experience conducting nutrition assessments, learning about food service education, coordinating nutrition plans, and tracking resident data. Julie credits her time at Cedar Community for giving her the skills and confidence needed to land a job after college and inspiring her to further her education. “It prepared me for ‘real life’ work, and helped me feel secure that this is what I wanted to do and continue with my education.”
After completing her internship and graduating from Milwaukee Area Technical College as a dietetic technician, Julie returned to school in 2015 to pursue a degree as a registered dietitian. With nearly a decade of experience in the field, Julie found her true passion in long-term care. When a full-time position opened at Cedar Community in June 2024, it felt like everything aligned perfectly—her location to work, her love for long-term care, and the lasting impact of her internship made this opportunity feel like the right fit.
Julie is settling into her new role with support from team members from all departments. “The staff has been great, and I have several role models to learn from.” Her favorite part about working at Cedar Community is the residents–she loves making a difference by helping in any way she can and creating a positive impact on their daily lives. Julie is eager to continue growing within her role, envisioning her position as one that remains flexible and responsive to the community’s needs. She is dedicated to listening to residents and ensuring their needs always come first.
When she is not at Cedar Community, you can find Julie hanging out with her husband and two daughters, ages five and seven. As a family, they love to travel near and far, with her kids calling these trips their “adventures.” Thank you for sharing your story Julie, Cedar Community is grateful to have you on this adventure with us!
